The cost of a solar power system is a fraction of what you will pay in utilities over the years.
Louisiana provides a tax credit for solar energy systems purchased and installed on or after January 1, 2008 and before January 1, 2018.
You can get 50% of the first $25,000 of the cost of each system.
Leased systems installed after December 31, 2013: 38% of the first $25,000 of the cost of each system
The maximum incentive you can receive is $12,500 per installed system; 1 installed system per residence.
